Samsung Galaxy Tab – an alternative to the Apple iPad

If you’re saving your bucks for an Apple iPad, then you might want to take a closer look at the Samsung Galaxy Tab. It’s Samsung’s answer to the much talked about Apple iPad. The Samsung device will run Android 2.2, which is a plus and will then obviously have access to the popular Android Market and all the market’s apps.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab looks really good. Let’s see what else this device is packing:

- 1GHz Cortex A8 processor
- OS: Android 2.2 running TouchWiz 3.0
- Storage: 16GB or 32GB (microSD expansion for up to 32GB additional storage)
- Front-facing 1.3 megapixel camera and rear 3 megapixel camera with flash
- Full HD video playback
- 3G data / voice
- 5GHz dual-band 802.11n WiFi
- Weight: 380 grams
- Standard colour: White – for now.
- 4,000mAh battery

The Samsung Galaxy Tab looks great. If the price is good, I really wouldn’t mind getting this alternative to the Apple iPad. Very nice indeed!

Timzat, haven’t heard anything officially yet. The Samsung Galaxy Tab has been rolling out in the US and Europe in the last couple of months, so hold thumbs!
