DSTV Drifta Mobile USB Decoder: Get yours today and watch DSTV channels on your laptop!

DSTV has launched a new easier-to-use mobile decoder. It’s called the DSTV Mobile USB Drifta and it’s also cheaper than the original Drifta mobile decoder. The new DSTV Mobile USB Drifta connects directly to a PC/laptop/notebook via a USB port and doesn’t need to be paired through Wi-Fi, like the original Drifta.

The DSTV Mobile USB Drifta decoder uses a DVB-H signal to enable you to watch DSTV Mobile content on your PC or laptop. Basically, it’s easier to use and connectivity is much simpler. And it’s also cheaper – all good reasons to opt for this new mobile decoder if that’s what you’re looking for.

DSTV has also announced that the popular M-Net Series channel will be added to the DSTV Mobile bouquet. The bouquet also has SuperSport 1, 2 and 3, making it very useful for the upcoming Rugby World Cup. Remember, the matches will be screened in the mornings here in South Africa, so you might not always have access to a TV. A DSTV Mobile USB Drifta and a laptop could be very handy.

The DSTV Mobile USB Drifta is compatible with PCs/laptops/notebooks running Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7. It retails for R399.

UPDATE: It’s good to see Android support for the DSTV Drifta is increasing. With support for devices like the Samsung Galaxy S, Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Tab, as well as the HTC Desire, Desire HD and Wildfire S, things are moving along.
